1. Certified Instructor Assignment: Only instructors licensed and certified by the Transportation Department of the Government of Alberta will be assigned to your driver training.
2. Vehicle Maintenance Assurance: We guarantee the provision of a clean, mechanically sound vehicle with a valid license plate and registration for all training sessions.
3. Professional and Punctual Training: All training sessions will be conducted professionally and will adhere to scheduled timings.
4. Cancellation Protocol: In cases of emergencies such as instructor illness, adverse weather conditions, or immediate mechanical issues with the vehicle, you will be promptly notified of lesson cancellations. Every effort will be made to accommodate rescheduling with another instructor. If this is not possible, alternative arrangements will be discussed at the earliest convenience.
5. Cell Phone Usage Policy: Our driving instructors are strictly prohibited from using cell phones during lessons when the vehicle is in motion. Essential calls or messages will only be attended to when the vehicle is safely parked.
6. Scheduled Breaks: A five-minute stretching break will be provided after every hour during a two-hour driving session. No breaks will be taken by instructors for personal matters.
7. Evaluation Feedback: At the conclusion of each lesson, a detailed evaluation report or summary will be provided and discussed solely with the student or the student's parents.
8. Withdrawal and Refund Policy: A full refund may be claimed within 30 days of registration if services have not been utilized. An administration fee of $70 will be deducted in this case.
9. Partial Refund Eligibility: Partial refunds can be claimed within 12 months if the course remains incomplete. Please note that a refund will be given after deducting an administration fee of $70 and the amount of course used by the student.
10. Record Retention: The academy will maintain all records for a period of two years to facilitate the issuance of duplicate certificates at the cost of $50 if required.
Responsibilities of Parent/Guardian and Student:
1. Possession of Learner's License: The student must possess a minimum Class 7 learner's license during all in-vehicle training sessions.
2. Completion Requirements: To receive the "Driver's Education Course Completion Certificate," the student must successfully complete and pass 10 hours of in-vehicle training with a minimum of 75% marks and 15 hours of online/classroom courses with at least 80% marks.
3. Liability for Negligence: Violation of any traffic rules resulting in fines by the student while driving during lessons will be the sole responsibility of the student.
4. Expectation of Responsible Behavior: Students are expected to approach driver's education with a high level of responsibility. Unacceptable behaviors such as consuming alcohol or illegal substances, swearing, harassment, sexual abuse, or disrespect toward school staff and instructors will not be tolerated. In such cases, the school reserves the right to discontinue lessons at the student's expense and may withhold further services.
5. Cancellation and Rescheduling Protocol: Students must provide a minimum of 24 hours' notice if they wish to cancel or reschedule a lesson. A fee of $50 will be charged for lessons canceled with less than 24 hours' notice or for no-shows at the scheduled pick-up spots.
6. Additional Practice Recommendations: It is highly recommended that students engage in an additional 40-50 hours of practice beyond the professional driving course under the supervision of experienced drivers.
